Production process

Chip budding
  1. A 3 to 4 cm wound is slit into the bark
  2. An eye is cut out that perfectly fits into the wound
  3. The eye is placed into the wound. The idea is to enable the cambium of the rootstock and the scion to contact across the largest possible surface, which will greatly benefit the inosculation.
  4. The eye and the wound are then tied together using a sturdy plastic ribbon
  5. After the eye has inosculated, the plastic ribbons are unfastened and removed
